About C.C. Rae
C.C. Rae grew up creating fantasy stories she could escape into. Undiagnosed AuDHD until her early 30s, her fiction was often the only place her deep sensitivity and creativity was welcome.
Her career as an author started at age 15 when her math class daydreams first brought her through a portal into a world she would call Veil. For the next 10 years while in high school and later attending the University of Arizona to get a double Bachelors in English Literature and Creative Writing she wrote the first three novels of her Hidden Magic Series.
The sudden loss of her cat Calypso in 2019 was a tipping point for C.C. Rae, followed swiftly by Covid, her ADHD diagnosis, burnout, Autism diagnosis, and a roller coaster of chronic illness for both her cat Mogget and herself. Grief altered every facet of her life, from her physical health to her creativity. Since Mogget's passing in 2025, C.C. Rae has embraced that grief will always be a part of her and plans to explore its depths in books to come, as well as help support other's navigating that vast sea.
